Intro: The Science Essential Standard:
7.E.1: “The learner will understand how the cycling of matter)water and gases) in and out of the atmosphere relates to Earth's atmosphere, weather and climate and the effects of the atmosphere on humans.”
8.E1: "The learner will understand the hydrosphere and the impact of humans on local systems and the effects of the hydrosphere on humans."
This comprehensive web quest is designed to better the students understanding of Earth's atmosphere.

Task: Students will access the Internet to gather information that focuses on the curriculum competencies. Using on-line weather forecasts, students will study the conditions that causes weather and climate, understand the mechanisms in the water cycle, record the weather for a 5-day period using a data table, study the clouds, and investigate the weather conditions both locally and across the United States.
